COMPRESSION GIRDLE SIZES
Our compression girdles, including the High Back Girdle, are sized from XX-Small to XX-Large. We recommend ordering more than one garment: one on, one off.
If you aren't sure which size is correct, you can use our Size Finder below. This uses waist and hip measurements to provide a macom® size recommendation. If you need help measuring, check out our body compression garments sizing video.

GETTING THE RIGHT FIT
The High Back Girdle is designed to apply targeted compression to your waist, hips and abdomen. In order for this to be effective during post-op recovery, you need to ensure your girdle fits correctly. Our compression girdles are adjustable so you can get the right support and compression throughout your healing.
USING INSERTS WITH THE HIGH BACK GIRDLE
macom® tip! Inserts help to decrease dead space, and facilitate the retraction of the skin post detachment.
Recommended inserts:
- Abdominal / Flanks Compression Insert
- Flank Compression Inserts - Use inside the sleeves to help with underarm swelling. You can also worn vertically along delicate scars.
Note: The Adjustable 3 Panel Binder is a great option if you need more compression on your abdomen and flanks.
For caesarean delivery we recommend using a memory foam insert under the girdle. The insert will help to decrease dead space, transport fluid from the abdomen and increase blood microcirculation for optimised healing. The insert will act comfortable and cocooning on the abdomen. Aim to be wearing the girdle and insert by day 3 after birth.
USE AND CARE ADVICE FOR HIGH BACK GIRDLES
High back girdles are recommended during the early stages of recovery, typically between 4 and 8 weeks following abdominal surgery, back surgery, a C-section, or liposuction to the stomach, hips or flanks. Your surgeon will advise you when to start and stop wearing compression girdles as part of your recovery plan.
To maintain the effectiveness of your high back girdle, we recommend washing it regularly and allowing it to air dry. As compression garments should not be tumble dried, many patients find it helpful to have more than one post-surgery girdle, so one can be worn while the other is being washed and dried.
